Contract & Pricing Specialist (Finance)

We are seeking a Contract & Pricing Specialist to oversee the development, implementation, and compliance of pricing structures and customer contracts. This role is critical in ensuring pricing accuracy, maintaining contract integrity, and aligning pricing strategies with company goals.

The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of pricing strategy, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. This position will work closely with our contract/bid specialist, account executives and cross-functional teams to support client satisfaction and drive business growth.

This position will report directly to the Director of National Accounts.

Responsibilities:

Pricing Strategy & Compliance:

  • Develop and implement pricing strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to inform pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure pricing alignment with product positioning and market positioning.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with contractual pricing agreements.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Leverage data analytics to evaluate pricing performance and identify opportunities.
  • Works directly with school and concept customers on audit findings and reconciliation.
  • Generate regular reports on key performance indicators, pricing trends, and market insights.
  • Make data driven recommendations to optimize pricing and enhance overall business profitability.

Client Engagement:

  • Collaborate with account executives to develop customized pricing solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Function as a point of contact for escalated client issues related to pricing and account management.

Cross Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with product management, sales, and finance teams to ensure pricing strategies align with broader business goals.
  • Collaborate with marketing to communicate value propositions and pricing changes effectively to the market.

  • High school equivalency required. Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.

  • 1-3 years of pricing experience is required.

  • Experience in School and/or Chain food sales is strongly preferred.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

  • Strong computer skills required; ability to learn and adapt to multiple computer applications.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Good critical thinking skills.

  • Familiarity with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes.
