This Desktop Support position is responsible for providing technical support to employees by troubleshooting and resolving issues with IT systems when they arise.

  • Troubleshooting and resolving IT issues in a timely manner.
  • Communicating with coworkers to diagnose problems.
  • Installing and configuring hardware and software.
  • Guiding coworkers through the process of fixing technical issues.
  • Prioritizing workload to ensure resolution of critical issues first.
  • Documenting common support procedures for coworkers to follow.
  • Providing remote support when necessary.
  • Create management reports of Contact Center performance.

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, AND: 

  •  2 years of experience in Information Technology or related experience.

Equivalency; Substitution: Will accept 48 months of experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 72 months experience.

Skills:

  • Experience with remote desktop applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Advertised Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in sitting position
  • Use computer and answer telephone.
  • Office Work Environment.

Departmental Preferences:

  • 24 months experience providing Desk Top Support for Zscaler Machines, running Windows Operating Systems. 
  • 12 months experience using Excel to generate reports
  • 12 months experience using contact center reporting to create reports for management.
